Not the biggest surprise

We're hungry. Where I live, and increasingly around America. We're getting hungrier.

Nobody paying attention to the big picture right now can be too surprised. What I asked this week was this: Is mushrooming hunger any of our business? And if so, how do we plan to take care of business?

Hey Jeff, yes I think it is our business, our business to know and care. Knowing, or being aware, thank you for this column, and just simply really caring is I think a huge step. Really caring and really caring consistently will lead to solutions or actions that sneak up and infect your life because it hurts to do anything different if you care. My fear is that these changes are so painfully slow, and the need for change so great, that this cannot be reconciled in time. I'm often left feeling frozen by the enormity of it all.

Well I seen no one is really commenting on your site here, I check in from time to time to see what you have to say, as I appreciate your intent here. But one thing that I believe blocks us in an enormous way from collectively doing something, is the partisan/dichotomy we find ourselves consumed with. This stumbling block to staying focused on what really matters to us all is one you have spoken to, often.

But, the alliance with the left leaves a realization of stepping beyond that trap stuck in my opinion. When we are caught up with the group we associate as our group, seeing this is near to impossible. But I moved past it, and I can no longer associate who I am with the left or right. I associate who I am with both, and that is a nice place to be.

Take care, email me if you ever want to chat.
